Because sitting for an original portrait can take hours, the artist, Jozef, works from a photograph or photographs. (The more photo's you send the better) We then illustrate your commission using the photographs as a guide.

Send us the photograph(s) that you like to have a portrait of in a jpg or tiff or PNG format. We then start sketching. It is more cost efficient for you to provide us with an existing photograph. It has been our experience that open and honest discussion at the outset is key to creating portraits that will satisfy your expectations for many generations to come.

Once we have received your commission we like to speak with the client to get a brief profile of our subject and your direction. So please be sure to leave your contact information on the "Commission Inquiry" form.

From here we compose a pencil or line sketch for your approval, this will be sent to you electronically (PDF) so be sure to leave your e-mail address on the Commission Inquiry form. Upon receipt of your approval (e-mail) we then proceed with your final work of art.

Please note that we require an initial deposit of 50% of the total cost at the time of order, with the balance payable on completion.

Portraits by jozef/jds will provide all artistic materials required, however, shipping and Handling and all applicable taxes are extra.
